Valentine’s Day isn’t a big holiday in our house.  We work hard all year long to find quality time – if not quantity time – together, as a couple and as a family.  Well, as it turns out, V-Day occurs during Family Day weekend, so we get to celebrate two holidays together.

With the Team Brae-ers Blog Hop this month, we are focusing on Valentine’s Day and all of the fun, adorable and love-filled creations we can make.  So join us as my fellow CTMH consultants and I show you some Cupid-approved projects that you can make too!

ABOUT THE HOP
·         This is a circular hop so you can start here and go all the way around.
·         If you came from the super Michelle's "My Creations" blog, then you are going in the right direction.
·         Visit Brae’s blog for the complete blog list of participants if you get lost along the way.

HERE'S MY PROJECT: My Anchor Mini Cards

I love making 3x3 cards.  They can be very cute and very creative, but the size also forces you to keep things simple.  They are good for gift tags, lunch box notes or just a sweet little “I Love You”.

I also have a passion for all things nautical – boats, lighthouses, anchors and more.  So the “My Anchor” stamp set and Thin Cuts dies were just the perfect things for my Valentine’s cards.

I think my sweet hubby (who is also my best friend and truly my anchor) and my boys will like waking up to these cards Sunday morning.

KEEP HOPPING & LEAVE COMMENTS, PLEASE!
Your next stop on the Valentine's Day Blog Hop is the crafty Michelle's "The Right Hugh" blog.  (I'm bookended by Michelle's this hop!!  Tee hee!)

Please take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, paper and techniques seen along the way.

The La Vie En Rose #ctmhlavieenrose paper pack is really quite versatile.  Whether you LOVE the rose photographic paper, or prefer to flip it over -- the black and white patterns give you A LOT to work with.  This month, I paired it with the Jolly Holidays Base & Bling style sheet to add some subtle holiday imagery, as well as to create some really awesome holiday cards.

Take a look:

You can get the instructions for all four of these layouts, plus all 20 cards (4 each of 5 designs) for FREE when you purchase $30 in CTMH goodies (before shipping and taxes) from my website.

On September 1st, the new Annual Inspirations Idea Book went live and I'm sure you'll agree, it's pretty amazing.  I love so many of the new papers!  But none as much as I love SANGRIA.  The rich jewel tones, the gorgeous patterns -- this paper pack is right up my alley.  It was only natural that this be the first paper I used from the new book.

And I'm featuring faux stitching.  This technique adds such a nice finishing touch to your pieces and layouts, and it's so simple to do.  Use a piece of plastic canvas or our handy stitch guide along with your piercing tool and journaling pen.

Here are the layouts you've been waiting for ...

You can get the instructions for these four stunning #ctmhsangria layouts for FREE when you spend $30 (before shipping and taxes).  Email me with your order or shop online!

I like to find ways to take products that were designed for one purpose and use them for others.  Pathfinding has beautiful paper designs that were created for Autumn layouts ... but with this kit, I hope that you will see them in a new ray of sunlight.  You can use them for summer photos and non-seasonal layouts too!

These layouts were inspired by retired Workshop on the Go layouts.  Remember to keep ALL the instructions you receive in any kit or promotional bundle -- you can use them for other papers, themes and layouts too!

Check out these versatile layouts:

You can make these gorgeous layouts yourself!  Simply spend $30 (before shipping and taxes) on fabulous CTMH goodies -- and you will get a set of instructions, absolutely free.  The shopping list for these kits are below.  Email me with your order or shop online.

Here's another use for your spray pen!  Use it along with a stencil to create a fun title, just like I did with the Kit of the Month Club Confetti Wishes Layout #4.

Here, I removed the stickers and cut right through the backing to create my stencil.  You could also cut words or shapes using the Cricut.

See my demonstration on the Kit of the Month Club Facebook page.  You can see I also doodled around the letters after they were sprayed to make them pop a bit more.

More doodling!!

The Confetti Wishes papers are bright and fun ... but sometimes they can be a little busy.  That's when you get out your journaling pen and add some doodling to create borders and give some definition to some of your layout pieces.

Take a look at the doodling I did on the Kit of the Month Club Confetti Wishes Layout #3:

You can also get more from your Confetti Wishes Complements by cutting them in half, like I did here with the journaling strips.
