This week at Color My Heart's Color Dare, we're using a monochromatic colour combo: Crystal Blue and Twilight.  Take a look at all the Design Team's beautiful work -- the colours really set a seasonal tone.  I hope you'll play along with us and take the Color Dare this week!

But while most of my DT teammates went with wintery and holiday inspired ideas, I went another way.  Let's go swimmin'!

My Project:  Fishy Treat Bag

This adorable little treat bag is part of my weekend Treat Bag workshop and I think he's just the sweetest!  All pieces are cut from CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, except the scaly overlay, which is from our newest cartridge, Artbooking.  It's really amazing to see what you can do with some basic shapes and a little creativity.

Now it's your turn.  What can you make using this week's colours Crystal Blue and Twlight?  Create something then go and enter for your chance to win at the Color My Heart Color Dare blog.

Here are some of the other treat bags I came up with:

The Critters Collection

Halloween Spooksters

Christmas Cuties
Email me at justscrapit@sympatico.ca if you would like to order a kit for yourself.  $20 for 10 treat bags (2 each of 5 designs) plus postage.

MY PROJECT:
OK, so I’m not much of a jewellery person.  I don’t wear it often, and quite honestly, I didn’t quite know what to do with Base & Bling … in the beginning.  But then I started thinking about the things I DO like to make, especially at this time of year, and thought that the B&B would work WONDERFULLY to make ornaments for my Christmas tree.

So here they are.  Two adorable and different ornaments that you can clip right onto your tree branches, using the Base & Bling hair clip.  I simply got my Christmas Creative Mojo going and built the ornament using stamps, CTMH papers and my wonderful Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  Then, I used the Base & Bling adhesive to attach it to the hair clip.

** REMEMBER: Make sure you attach to the back with the hair clip “tongs” pointing the right way!

The first ornament I made was the Flakey Friends snowflake.  Super cute, especially when embellished with just a touch of silver Glitter Gel.  I used 3D foam in between each layer to give it some dimension.

The second ornament I made was this super cute springy Santa.  It’s using a new stamp in the Holiday mini, and our awesome self-adhesive springs – I love how Santa boings and dances!

These clips were originally designed for the tree, but they can also be used to dress up a gift bag for someone special!

** WARNING **
These ornaments can be addictive!  As I was making these,
I kept coming up with ideas to do more and more.
Santa, please bring me time to create them all!

This week at Color My Heart's Color Dare, we're picking up the colours from the awesome CTMH paper pack Pro Player and playing around.  The Design Team has some amazing artwork to share (as always) and my project is shown below.  I hope you'll play along with us and take the Color Dare this week!

My Project:  File Folder full of Goodies!

This weekend, I'm hosting a weekend retreat, and whenever I hold a retreat, the Scrapbooking Fairy comes along and leaves little treats for my guests.  This is one of them.  I cut the folder from the Artbooking cartridge -- it's a 2 page spread from a mini album!  Then I stamped and embellished away, using the "Reel Life", "It's in the Details" and Later Sk8r WOTG stamp sets, using this week's colours Ruby, Pacifica and Outdoor Denim.  Add a sparkle, some baker's twine and a paper clip, and it's ready for the Fairy to leave behind.  (I won't tell you what's inside, so that it stays a surprise!)

Simple but lots of fun.

Now it's your turn.  What can you make using this week's colours Ruby, Pacifica and Outdoor Denim?  Create something then go and enter for your chance to win at the Color My Heart Color Dare blog.
