Here's another use for your spray pen! Use it along with a stencil to create a fun title, just like I did with the Kit of the Month Club Confetti Wishes Layout #4.
Here, I removed the stickers and cut right through the backing to create my stencil. You could also cut words or shapes using the Cricut.
See my demonstration on the Kit of the Month Club Facebook page. You can see I also doodled around the letters after they were sprayed to make them pop a bit more.
More doodling!!

The Confetti Wishes papers are bright and fun ... but sometimes they can be a little busy. That's when you get out your journaling pen and add some doodling to create borders and give some definition to some of your layout pieces.
Take a look at the doodling I did on the Kit of the Month Club Confetti Wishes Layout #3:

You can also get more from your Confetti Wishes Complements by cutting them in half, like I did here with the journaling strips.

Welcome to our Cross Canada Blog Hop for July. This month, we’re showcasing the amazing “Happy
Everything” stamp set – a special stamp set that is fun to create with but also
helps children around the world. When
you purchase this stamp set, $3 will go to Operation Smile, a wonderful
organization that helps correct facial deformities in children.
So hop through and see all of the creative things you can do with
this Happy stamp set.
ABOUT THE HOP
·
This is a circular hop so you can start here and go all the way
around.
·
If you came from Krista's “Simply Creating” blog, then you are going
in the right direction.
· If you want to travel the hop from East to West, or if you get lost along the way, visit Michelle's "My Creations" blog for the complete blog list.
HERE'S MY PROJECT: Multicolour stamped card
This card just makes me happy, and I hope it does the
same for the person I’m giving it to. I
used Paper Fundamentals and scraps from Chalk It Up and Seaside to create
it. The colours from these two kits also
inspired the ink colours I chose.
Here’s how you do a multicolour stamped image.
Start by stamping in your lightest colour. Cover the entire stamp in ink.
Continue by inking your stamp immediately in the next lightest
colour, but only on a portion of the stamp.
Do not stamp on your paper in between inking.
Finish by inking directly in the darkest colour, covering
only the bottom edge of your stamp.
Now stamp on your paper.
See? It’s
easy! The biggest thing to remember is
to start with your LIGHTEST colour and finish with your DARKEST colour.
KEEP HOPPING & LEAVE COMMENTS, PLEASE!
Your next stop on this HAPPY EVERYTHING Blog Hop is Lucy's "Creative Expressions" blog.

Here's another fun card using the July Stamp of the Month. I like how the sentiment is broken into different stamps, so that you can use different colours and make different versions of the sentiment, depending on your project.
Mixing Seaside and Chalk It up scraps worked perfectly and is great for a friend who is starting off in a new career. I want to cheer her on and let her know I'm behind her 100%. And the little Base & Bling charm is awesome -- I just attached it with a little Liquid Glass.
And don't forget, you get this stamp set for FREE when you spend $25 on current stamps. Get more details here!

Sometimes you have lots of photos that you want to get on a page -- but what do you do with the journaling? Make pockets for your messages ... or even more photos ... with Designer Creations treat bags.
This is the Kit of the Month Club Confetti Wishes Layout #2. Instead of cutting photo mats, I used the treat bags to make pockets and jazz up this layout.
The spray pen adds some extra bursts of colour too!

Have you ever had an idea in your head about a specific kind of patterned papers for a project but couldn't find it in the right colours ... or couldn't even find it at all? I think many of us have. This is when I pull out my inks, stamps and paper and use random stamping to customize and create my own.
Random stamping was one of the very first stamping techniques I ever learned, and it's still one of my go-to techniques when I'm creating. It's easy to do and makes a gorgeous result. Here's how.
Start by choosing your stamps, ink and base page. I usually use White Daisy, but you can use a light coloured cardstock too. Here, I'm using Whisper cardstock with the "Lifting Spirits" stamp set and Slate ink.
STEP ONE: Choose your first stamp and start stamping on your cardstock. I recommend you start with your LARGEST stamp. You want to think about creating triangles with your stamps.

Continue on and cover your entire page with the large stamped images, making triangles. Don't forget to go off the edges too. I like to start in the centre of my page and spiral outwards.
STEP TWO: Repeat with the next largest stamp. You can use images or words/phrases too.
STEP THREE: Repeat changing stamps and colours until you have the paper you want. Twist and turn your stamps so that they are not all going in the same direction (unless you want them too, like I did with the clouds). I also used a sponge dauber and some White Daisy pigment ink to embellish my clouds.
Here is the finished papers:
And here is the layout I created, using this customized patterned paper for my base pages.
You will start to develop your own Random Stamping style. Some people like lots of space between images, some people like to keep them tight. You can even overlap images! Take a look!
You don't have to use large pieces of cardstock. As you can see here, a card-sized piece can be random stamped too.
And here's my finished card:
Give random stamping a try on your next project.
