Well, here is my littlest boy on his 5th Birthday. That's what I call Man Fashion. Can't believe how fast he's growing up. He had a great time at both of his birthday parties and was spoiled rotten. Thanks everyone!
And here is his R2D2 cake. Big Brother Sam helped out and did most of the decorating. I think it turned out pretty awesome ... and it tastes great too!

Sometimes the things kids say are just so ... awesome. This morning, when dropping off my boys at daycare, Charlie (who will be 5 on Monday) said this to me: "When I get to school, I'm going to put my hands in my pockets. That's Man Fashion, right?"
He's so anxious to grow up and be big like his brother and his Dad. I wish he would stop just for a minute. It's all going so fast.
I will have to take a picture of him today, with his hands in his pockets, and scrap this moment. I want to remember it forever.

Lately, I've found playing with my Copics to be very relaxing -- something that I've needed badly. I'm new to Copics so I don't have a lot of colours to choose from, and I'm really just experimenting. Here's what I did the other night:
This is an adorable stamp from House Mouse Designs. I tried some different colour combinations for the mice. The brown & grey combo on the left is my fave, but the pink is too much and the poor guy looks sunburned. :) The combo on the right is nice too, but I don't like the grey for his face. I need some new colours (and they're in the mail, hopefully arriving soon!). But I think the umbrella turned out really good!
Here's another:
Morning Glories are my most favourite flower. This is a Stampin' Up stamp that I just love. Nice big flowers to play with. I've only really done the center flower so far, and it's a good start. But I really need a colourless blender to get more white and less yellow. Just gotta keep practicing, I guess. :)
Lastly, here's a card that I'm working on for the Go Green card swap at my weekend retreat. I used a cute turtle stamp and my Copics to colour him in. Paper is all CTMH -- desert sand textured CS for background, Animal Cookies Creative Basics for the coloured squares. New Stardust glitter glue in the center of the flowers.
That's all for now! Happy Creating.

I have been making and decorating cakes since I was at least 10 years old and took a class at school. I love it. It's a great creative outlet. But with each cake, the bar gets set higher and higher. Here is the cake I did last November for Sam's 9th Birthday. He's a huge Star Wars fan so this was a big hit.
Next week is Charlie's 5th birthday (where did my baby go??) and he wants as cool a cake as his big brother got. His first request? An X-wing Fighter. Eeek! But his fave Star Wars character is R2D2 so I think we'll go for that. Stay tune for pics.
Ok. So I'm trying this out with some of my layouts from our first trip to Disney. Enjoy!
These first two are from the Lego Store in Downtown Disney -- my older son Sam's favourite place on Earth.
Both Charlie and Sam love the Dalmatians, so it was fun to see them WAY larger than life.
Just layouts I really liked.
It was fun to incorporate the autographs we got into the scrapbook.
That's it for now. I hope to post more work in the coming weeks. The weekend retreat I host is coming up in two weekends (Eegads -- lots of work still to do!!) so I will have lots to share after that.
Happy Wednesday.

Well, here I am, officially in the world of blogging. I've seen so many fabulous pages that I thought I'd just give it a try. It's a whole new experience and I'm excited to get started.
