Welcome to our September Blog Hop featuring some wonderful hand-drawn stamps created by our founder and fearless leader, Jeanette Lynton.  Thirty years ago, Jeanette started drawing and creating her own stamps right in her kitchen.  Today, this amazing company has grown and this season, we are going back to our roots and celebrating by bringing back some of Jeanette's original designs.  They are cute, cuddly and great for colouring!  So join us as my fellow Canadian CTMH consultants show you what you can do with them

ABOUT THE HOP
  • This is a circular hop so you can start here and go all the way around.
  • If you came from the amazing Arlene's "Creative Space" blog, then you are going in the right direction!
  • And if you want to follow us from coast to coast, then please start at the beginning with Michelle S.’s "My Creations with Michelle" blog.  The complete blog list is also found here if you get lost along the way.

MY PROJECT:

This month's challenge really got my juices flowing and I have a couple of different sets of cards to show you.  I'm also new on Pinterest (check out my boards here) so I found some great inspiration for layouts there.

My first cards are my favourite.

Ever since I saw the dolly in "Stitched with Love", I could NOT picture her being used straight on.  I always thought about her peeking in from the side, or the bottom, or over top of a sentiment.  I love how they look warm and vibrant with the Laughing Lola papers, and this layout worked perfectly.

My second cards lived in my brain for quite a while.  I wanted to keep them simple and heartfelt.

Using score lines as part of the card is one of my favourite techniques.  And the little quilted squares really pop with this simple layout.  The card on the left uses Autumn Terracotta ink and Slate cardstock.  The righthand card uses Twilight and Ruby ink, with Chantilly B&T.
